On Thursday morning we headed down to Lake Blackshear for the annual Benson family reunion. Man, so blessed to have such a wonderful family. The weekend was filled with games, laughter, lots of pictures, tubing, TONS of food and sunburns. Reconnecting with cousins living in California, western Mass, Newnan Ga, Savannah was so refreshing.
I loved answering the question “so, now that you’ve graduated, what’s next, Zach attack?” 10 minutes later they responded with “yeah, I’d love to be apart of this,” and “when can i come see you?”
A beautiful picture of loving support, huh?
Im really hoping to get home in time next summer to attend our next reunion.

I’m so glad a few friends and I made the trip up to Bham to see these guys. So much energy for the Lord to allow a freshness to settle, they played from around 7:15-10pm! It was one of those nights when you thought the building might fall in due to the loudness.
Wow.
I was reminded of the necessity of the church to walk confidently in its role in the community, loving justice and living with unconditional love. All peoples will one day hear the loudness, like tonight, and worship their Creator with reckless abandonment. For now, He’s using the willing to carry the loudness of the Gospel to all people, to all tongues for the glory of His renown.
Here’s a pic from the concert.

Reading around in Romans this a.m. and always love coming back to this verse, can’t get tired of thinking on it.
It seems that Romans 1:18-20 ESV
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things
offers a choice.
Regardless of if they have not heard, they can see the works of His hands all around. “His invisible qualities are apparent…” How many times do we exchange the glory of the immortal God for idols resembling far less? Reading further in chapter 1, it goes on to say that their minds became dark and confused, an exchange was made from choosing to worship the glorious, ever-living God to idols.
The mark of our Maker is on/in all peoples, all nations. Evangelism and the Gospel (Christ IN us) breaks through that darkness and confusion. Shine well, shine brightly, SAINTS.
